Grace Counts Too: Redefining What Consistency Really Means
Why are you so hard on yourself?
Really. Sit with that. When did showing up stop being enough for you? When did you decide that you always have to get it right perfectly or it doesn’t count?
I ask because I know this feeling too well. I am my own biggest critic.. LITERALLY. Even when I do things right, I find a way to pick it apart how it could’ve been better, faster, more.
But here’s the thing when was the last time you gave yourself grace? Do you reward yourself for even showing up?
We hear so much about consistency. Hustle. Grind. Never miss a day. But I think we get it twisted too often. Consistency isn’t perfection to me. It’s not a 100% every single day, forever.
To me, consistency looks like this maybe today you hit the goal. Maybe tomorrow too. Then maybe the next day you only have half in you. Or 45%. Guess what? That still counts. That is consistency!
Consistency is the practice of showing up imperfectly, tired, distracted, human but still there. Progress isn’t erased just because you had an off day. The effort still matters. It all adds up.
So if you needed this reminder today here it is grace counts too. You are allowed to try! You are allowed to rest! You are allowed to be proud even if it wasn’t perfect! Yes, i’m yelling but I mean it will love. I’m telling you, but i’m also telling myself too.
Keep showing up however you can. It’s enough.
As always..

It’s time we move your blog into writing a book… I love the versatility you display! There’s people who would love to hear more of what you have stored in that brain. I couldn’t agree more, consistency…

I understand clearly. I feel so much better when I let myself say okay, I did good.
