From Me to You 💌

Finding Peace in the Person i’m Becoming

Lately, i’ve been thinking a lot about purpose.. what it means, how to find it, and if it’s something we create or uncover. For a long time, I thought purpose had to be this huge, world changing thing. Something loud. Something that made people say “wow.”

But recently, i’ve realized… it’s not always that dramatic. Sometimes your purpose is quiet. Sometimes it’s soft. Sometimes it’s just being you fully, freely, and without apology.

I recently read an article on finding clarity on your purpose and motivations for life.

Here are some things I reflected on, that makes me…. me.

  • I thrive when life feels beautiful and I get to create or experience that energy.
  • My passion is tied to healing, truth, and protecting what’s real and human in a world that can be shallow or harsh.
  • I want people especially Black people to be safe, seen, and respected.
  • I care about compassion and community, especially for those struggling or ignored (like the homeless.)
  • I crave a world where beauty and worth aren’t reduced to body parts or trends, I value realness and self love.
  • I truly miss when connection was genuine not performative or cruel.
  • I’m truthful with love, something rare.
  • I am someone who brings beauty and honesty to help others see themselves clearly.
  • I have a big heart that feels the world. I see injustice, pressure, and fake standards and it weighs on me. So my soul craves peace, authenticity, and freedom from all that noise. ( this is why i go mia from social media a lot , it drains my mental space )
  • I see how loud and messy the world is everyone shouting, nobody listening and my spirit wants to bring calm, understanding, and truth into that chaos.

When I feel most alive, it’s not when i’m chasing something big. It’s when i’m dressed up, windows down, music on, sunlight hitting my skin or when i’m lost in a sketch, or even in the shower letting my thoughts drift. Those are the moments I feel me.

But in that peace, there’s also this deep ache. I feel so much for the world for the racism that still exists, for the people struggling to survive, for how we’ve turned social media into a place of comparison instead of connection. I just want better for us. For my community. For humanity.

And in all that reflection, i’ve realized something: I don’t need to fix the whole world. My purpose isn’t to carry it all it’s to bring peace, truth, and realness into the spaces that I touch. Whether it’s through my art, my words, or just how I show up for people.

I’ve always been the one who listens, gives advice, keeps it real but kind. and maybe… that’s part of my gift. I’m learning that being someone who brings calm, clarity, and truth that is purpose.

Here are 6 questions to ask yourself, to find your genuine purpose. Utilize chatgpt with this prompt, “I’m exploring my life purpose and would love your help. Use these questions to help me uncover what I’m most passionate about, and then help me define what my life purpose might look like.”

1.When do you feel most alive like you’re fully yourself, time disappears, and you’re just in flow?

2.What kinds of problems or issues in the world instantly light a fire in you make you want to do something about them?

3.Think about your childhood or teen years: what did you love doing before you worried about being good at it or making money from it?

4.What do people usually come to you for advice, emotional support, creative ideas, organization, hype, etc.?

5.When you imagine your dream life 10 years from now, what feelings do you want to wake up with every day (not just what you own or do)?

6. If you had to teach one thing to the world something you know deeply or live by what would it be?

You went into real deep thought to pull this out of yourself. I feel that you should do some counseling to others that in your age group. You can get them to open up to better than they would to someone older. I’m learning something’s about myself just answering the questions you asked. You have a very brilliant mind st and God has really Blessed you. 🥰

Us as people need to go back to connecting with the real world, attending events, actually being SOCIAL on social media platforms. I feel that sometimes it plays a huge role in what defines us to be ourselves because we’re so into it and it is a big part of our lives. Although I am for technology, with good always comes bad so we have to be mindful. I agree with you on craving a world that doesn’t tie beauty and worth to body parts or trends but also to not base our worth off of our success which I personally have been struggling with. But that is not the only part of me that defines me, that’s just a part of it.

We must take it easy on ourselves when discovering our inner being. We will never reach a point where it is complete. We are constatnly changing and if we have this idea that we have to figure ourselves out as if it’s just a singular thing, we will be stuck in this cycle of trying and trying with outself when we should just be growing with ourselves. Who you are today, you might not be tomorrow. Who you are tomorrow, you might not be next week. Strive to grow with yourself and not try to figure yourself out. You are an infinite being made up of a multitude of wonderful things.
